Current Rates

Lessons can be taken IN-PERSON or online with SKYPE or iCHAT

If you book a lesson and live in Portland, OR and would like to take your lesson in-person at our studio, you are all set.  If you want to take your lesson online over Skype or iChat, please indicate that in the "add coments" box when you are booking your lesson.  Also add your Skype or iChat screenname and which program you are planning to use.  Skype lessons are 99% as effective as being in the same room, but you can read more about the differences between In-person and Online voice lessons on our FAQ page

**Notes: 

Lessons are one-on-one, but more than one person may share a lesson time; it will be divided equally between them.  All one-on-one lessons can be booked online (no more phone tag).  All lessons must be canceled with 24 hour (or more) notice to avoid being charged for the lesson!  All lesson cancelations of any sort and for any reason within 24 hours of the lesson time will be charged in full as the slot reservation prevents other bookings.  Any lesson purchase has a 6 month period before expiring (except for Gift Certificates).  You cannot book a voice assessment online, that can only be booked over the telephone (971.645.7458)

Ear Training/Theory 1 and 2

Harmony (Ear Training 1 is a pre-req)

Study Buddy group lessons (must have had more than one private lesson beforehand)

Online booking for workshops will be odd, but ingenious!!  the following is a strategy to overcome the fact that our online scheduler does not have a feature for group bookings.  Lets say, for a single workshop, there are 10 slots available for participants, and the workshop starts at 3pm on a Sunday:  You will see times like 3pm, 3:06, 3:12, 3:18, 3:24, 3:30, 3:36, 3:42, 3:48, and 3:54 listed for booking.  Pick any one of those slots and your workshop will start at 3pm on that Sunday. If there were only 4 slots available for a class: 3pm, 3:15, 3:30, and 3:45 would be listed as available for booking (unless the class is partially or fully booked), or if there is room for 60 participants in a class that starts at 3pm on a sunday:  3pm, 3:01, 3:02 3:03 3:04, 3:05, 3:06 etc, etc, the class still starts at 3 for everyone.  We really hope this makes sense...if you book a workshop at 6:43pm, the workshop you booked starts at 6pm that day.  if you are completely confused with this booking method, feel free to contact us!

Gift Certificates Available

Bridgetown Vocal offers Voice Vouchers as gifts that are honored for 12 months (and does not take responsibility for booking problems).  You can purchase in increments of hundred-dollar amounts or purchase an 8-lesson package.  Smaller purchases are limited to the usual 6-month use time-frame.  Call or email to come in to pick up a Voice Voucher, or get a .pdf emailed to you for printing purposes.

Payment and Options

Payments may be made in-person, at your lesson, or beforehand.  You can pay with cash or check.  We discourage the use of credit cards because the credit cards processing companies who process your payment charge a large amount per transaction, inspite of how little they actually do.  You can make direct payments from your bank account online in the form of online cash (a brand new concept) in a new service called Dwolla.  They are backed by the same institutions and credibility as any other banking service and secure, with their security guaranteed by Mcafee and other online security authorities.  If you want to make a payment with a credit card to build your credit, it is still an option, but to offset the credit card transaction fees there will be a flat $5 fee added to whichever service you would like to buy through paypal.  For paypal purchases we will coordinate it with you through email.
